Well well, well. I finally went to a Thanksgiving Dinner. I’m usually not so involved with holidays events, but this year I spent Thanksgiving evening with some amazing artists. This was my real first celebration of Thanksgiving and I was blessed to spent it with some sculptors, painters, and new friends. The food was delicious 😉
Here is our wonderful host, Maryna Bilak. This was also her first thanksgiving dinner that she hosted. we thank her and Maurice for a wonderful night. You can see Maryna’s work at http://www.marynabilak.com.ua/women-eng.html
We forgot to take some photos of the food but yes, there were some delicious food, if you can’t tell from these happy people. The turkey looked beautiful and tasty even thought I did not try it. I’m a vegetarian. But, I probably consumed most of the side dishes, to make it up for the bird! I tried some new food and drinks, and some new dishes that I hope to try again and hopefully learn how to make. Stay tuned.
And then… we had a little photoshoot with Maryna. We took these while the rest went out to get some coffee and desert from one of the guest’s coffeeshop. They put a twist on thanksgiving dinner! Coffee !!
I wasn’t sure what to wear for a such holiday. I understood that fall colors, earth colors are popular for this particular holiday but I went with black. Can’t go wrong with Black. Surprisingly, almost all the guests wore black! Guess we planed on it 🙂
I went with this simple yet classy Rampage maxi bodycon black dress. It has sides and V-neck see through cut-outs. The back is very delicate, see through with elastic buttons. As for the shoes, it was freezing out so I chose my D&C boots. They are old but they always make an outfit look clean and classy. These boots are from a vintage van in Bushwick.
Yes, I was a happy camper.
I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving! Happy Holidays. Stay Warm and Safe 🙂
